Małgorzata Nowak

Małgorzata Nowak (b.1976) studied photography at the Lodz Film School, Poland. In her works she often makes use of various traditional analog photographic techniques -- as exemplified in the series titled ‘Phalacrocorax Carbo’, created using a wet plate collodion technique. In this work, she focuses on the relationship between mankind and nature, placing particular emphasis on our anthropocentrism and its consequences, trying to portray the process of chasing a dream as being simultaneously responsible for the destruction of the dream itself.
